Hi Rain, the security is quite ok. We have got a fence around, at least 4 exits, but you should show your compound ID. I do not want to hand over a complete guide how to get in and out, but you can be sure it's as safe as it gets in Zhuhai without feeling like prison.

I tried posting this on a smaller conversation five days ago, and got no reply. I deleted my inquiry from there and I am reposting here... As follows. 

 

I would like to enquire about the role of the security. Previously, I lived on a compound in the past that had one gate and was surrounded by 15 ft. barbed wire fence. Every single person who came in had to show ID at the gate, and any guests who came, you had to have them call you from the gate, then they would hand the phone to security, and I then tell security who I am and which unit I lived in, and say the names of the guests. They would then have to sing in, and give up their ID to enter, and pick it up on the way out- after you call security to say they are leaving. If they forgot ID, they could not enter.  

Is this the same kind of compound security, or is it more laid back? I am hoping it is more laid back... Is there a fence surrounding the entire compound? Do you have to pass through one gate to get in and out? Does every guest have this sign in process? I am just trying to get a feel for a few places around Zhuhai before I move there. I do not want to feel like I am living in a prison, but I do want a safe place.

I learned today that the mini-minded idiots at HC management have now completely eliminated the HC shuttle bus service.  Apparently, these afore-mentioned morons don’t realize is that they have effectively lowered the value of every unit on the property.  Also, since we had all been paying a certain amount on our management fee to support the shuttle service, I wonder if they are going to lower the management fees to reflect the elimination of the service?  That’s really a stupid question because I know they won’t.
