Hi, it's great to see a group for Huafa residents. Here I have to correct that bus 207 is going to Gongbei, not Xiangzhou. I often get off at Vanguard(Hua2run4wang4jia1) in Gongbei.

Welcome to Huafa, Mark. I am sure you will enjoy here.

There are 3 pools within Phase 1 - 3. two are in phase one, and one in phase 2. I can give you guys the walking tour, just give me a shout :)

On Business Street, there is a supermarket, a few Chinese restaurants - all deliver :), one bank/ATM, pharmacy, and one Western styled cafe. In behind the first row of businesses, there is a walking street that contains a hair salon, spa (great for foot massage, facial, body massage), drycleaners/laundry service, flower/plant shop, and another eatery. DeYi Supermarket is decent, downstairs household, upstairs pkged groceries, drinks, houseware, then go outside across the walkway/outdoor seating to the Fresh produce section. with over 30RMB in-person purchase, they deliver, by phone order min 50RMB purchase for delilvery. Beside Deyi is Jane's Cafe (western styled). Across Jane's on the backside there is a Flower & Plant shop, they deliver. Qianshan has the closest larger supermarket, Vanguard Hua2Run4Wan4Jia1 with a few fastfood restaurants like Ajisen, 1 block away from that is also a new 24hrs McD's as well as two Electronic department stores. Some of us will go to Jusco once a month, let each other know to share a cab to go to get yogurt, cheese and other international ingredients. Go to Nanping town center for Post Office, Police Station is further into the industrial section (most taxi drivers seem not to know it), for registering yourself in a new neighbourhood. Nanping Walking street has China Mobile along with shops and local open-air eateries.

Mark, this super market and all these shops and restaurants i spoke about is just opposite to building 77 and 78. I am sorry that i cannot talk about the bus since i never took one there. we can all hang out in Jane's place coffee shop if we fix a time to catch up there

In Huafa New town they have a public pool in the first phase and another good one in the universal club. In terms of vegetables they have a nice supermarket there near the shopping area and you get all fresh veggies and meat and fish on the first floor. Most of us hang out at Jane's place coffee shop but its a bit small and crowded at times.

Jackie and I moved in a month ago (there goes the neighbourhood!)

We like it very much - nice to be out of the hustle and bustle...

Can anyone tell me how to get a bus to Gong Bei and where and when I can buy vegetables.

Anyone got a good home-helper? How often / how much? :)
