Hi all - hope you Uni students are doing well. My David is almost finished his internship now and has to decide - what next? Not an easy decision to make in London where there is a lot of competition for jobs. He's expertise is in the design side of graphic communication rather than the creative side so he's shopping around. Young people have so many important decisions to make. Measure twice - cut once peeps : )

Hee hee Amanda! I'm a bit like you - I love so many things it is difficult to focus and excel. Well, my son David has got an internship at a design studio in London. The internships are a popular way now to get graduates at a low cost. Hopefully, he will get a full time job out of it - and the salary that should go with it!

Congratulations to your son, David, Marian! I have been attending the graduations of a lot of my students. Most of them are now wondering what to do with their lives and I find it amusing when they ask me how I knew what I wanted to do. It is not obvious that I still do not know what I want to be when I grow up?!?  :D

Well Peeps - the end of University life has come for my son David. He got a 2:1 in Graphics Communication in England (for those of you that don't know, a 2:1 is a fine result). He is currently at the Young Designers Show in London - hoping to acquire a job! http://www.newdesigners.com/

Well, it's February and my son David has just a few months at University in Norwich, England and then he will have a degree in Graphic Communication. What then I wonder?

Welcome to this group Lanko. The other day in England, my daughter went to a wedding and randomly met someone who manages the pub/bar in this small Irish University town. What made it more of a co-incidence, is that it happens to be the pub where I was born (yes, I was born in a pub!) hee hee. It's a small world and getting smaller!

Christmas is over and the New Year begins on Sunday. By Tuesday David will be back in Norwich city at Uni, finishing his dissertation and bringing his 3 year degree course to an end and what then I wonder....

As the summer approaches its' end here in the UK students are making their way back to Uni. My son David has just one more year to do of his Graphic Communication degree.
