Good questions you have I should put these answers on the blog for others, as I am sure they have the same questions.

1. For routine maintenance we have a boat boy named Hermie. He changes the oil does odd jobs on the boat that we ask him to do and will even fill the gas tank and have it ready for you on the day you take it out to sail. We pay him MOP 400 a month for this service.
2. Berthing expenses are MOP 1500and MOP 400 for Hermie are the monthly costs. And as I am trying to get this boat to be owned by 3 shareholders (the boat is currently owned by three hare holders by the way) the month cost of MOP 1900 is only about MOP 633 per month (CNY 540). But we also have the option to rent it back to the Macau Youth Sailing Association for their keel boat class where they use it every Saturday and would pay us enough to cover ALL monthly expenses.
3. The only restriction with selling your share of the boat is you need to get one other of the two owners to agree with they like who you will be selling it to (a majority rules 4. Is this a good price for this boat? There is a very good market in Hong Kong for small inexpensive sailboats as there are few to be found in good condition. But this is a fair deal for the condition based on the Hong Kong market (Would not say its a steal though). Viva my boat in Macau is 7 feet shorted in much worst condition without all the equipment that this boat has and we would be looking for MOP 120,000 if we sold. To bring Viva to the same condition would cost us in total about MOP 180,000 where this boat is already at that price with more stuff and being 20% larger!! Actually this boat was for sail in Hong Kong last year for HK$280,000 –

Here are some pictures of the boat I spoke off below - Katie J. She sleeps 5 comfortably and would be a good overnight boat. I had some good questions from one of the members so I will post the answers I gave him incase any of you have the same questions. Will going to Macau marina to sail Viva on Sunday if anyone wants to take a look at Katie J she is tied up close by?

SAILBOAT SHARE FOR SAIL IN MACAU!! There is a 30ft sailboat for sail in Macau that is in great condition, has roller furling, lazy jacks, have duty boom, full instruments (including chart plotter), auto pilot, bimini, 18 hp diesel and much more. Macau registered as well! 3 shares at MOP 60,000 a share will buy the boat. Looking at one of the shares myself so that would leave two shares open. Will post pictures later this week. Send me an email if you are interested and I will give you more information and arrange a test sail!

Was out yesterday sailing Viva from Macau to San Jiao Dao where we anchored and made hot dogs while a couple people went fishing (Didn't catch anything). Full boat with 4 adults and 2 kids ( most from last weeks sail that was canceled due to the thick fog ) it was a very pleasant day with a steady breeze of 10-15 knots and a nice cloud cover so it wasn't to hot! Saw a couple of pink dolphins this time, but usually do off the airport and before the islands. BUt after checking us out for about 5 minutes went off to play somewhere else. Already looking forward to next weeks sail but the weather will be cooler (bummer).
