Hello everyone. Can you recommend a bike shop that offers bike accessories and apparels? We found one in XinXiangZhou but they are expensive because the brand they carry (UCC) is also expensive. A more generic of bike accessories would be okay. Its hard to find bike accessories in bike repair shops. Thanks.

Jerald,

You really need a GOOD lock! I lost so many bikes in the US i stopped counting. I have four really good bikes in China now and have not lost one in all the years I have been here and all the traveling I have done. I always lock my bike to a tree or metal fence. I do not use the Cryptonite kind, but I also have that. Write me if you need further advice.

Hi guys! I love riding my bicycle around Zhuhai. I own a Laux mountain bike with shimano parts. This is my third bike in zhuhai for the past year, 1st was stolen, 2nd was too small and too cheap because I was afraid it will be stolen again, and my newest one was pretty good, hoping it wont be stolen again. Hehe. Me and my friends like to ride once in a while every weekend. Just last saturday, we rode from xiangzhou to Qi'ao Island. Looking forward to riding with u guys.

A trusty friend has been taken – just when I had arranged for it to be taken care of while I am away. Yes, my wonderful, tatty, gearless bike has been stolen for the second time in 2 years. On both occasions it was in Xiangzhou Culture Plaza in Ningxi Road in front of GLV. The first time I thought it was because it was new and had only one relatively flimsy lock and was not chained to anything. This time, my bike was old, had two sturdy locks and was chained to the railing of the new stage!! I’m convinced that the person, probably Chinese, almost definitely male, had to pre-meditate the crime in order to make such a quick getaway in an exposed public area, during the lunch period below what is, in fact, government offices. The person would have found it very difficult to get through one of the locks, so he would have to have somewhere very local to hide it or have a trolley-bike to put it on. Please be on the lookout for a tatty black Giant bicycle with an exceptionally high saddle and red construction site dirt all over it, probably being ridden with some difficulty by a man with brown eyes and black hair who looks depressed because he cannot afford to buy a car like others in Zhuhai, and has to steal an old rusty bike with no gears belonging to an elderly, female, guest in China.

Can I still be in the bicycle club if I don't have a bike? :(

The new road between Tangjia and Qiao is great fun for cycling but make sure you wear a hat because there is NO shade :)
